Jay vanKlinken, most recently a reporter with Blackburn News, is the new Lambton County communications and marketing coordinator.

VanKlinken, who began his duties Monday, is responsible for implementing a new communications plan for the county.

His understanding of local issues is said to be a factor in his hiring.
