Articles 20VN | Prosperity and Right Belief | prosperity ...

True prosperity is possible for everyone, no matter what your life is like now or how old you are. You can change your belief system right this moment; it can take a bit to fully transition but there is no better time to start than now. Perhaps you think you are too old and set in your ways to make significant positive change or you feel trapped in your current way of living and cannot see a way out. These limiting beliefs are just that, beliefs. They are not facts and can be changed at any point in time. Whatever you believe will be true for you because your beliefs shape your thoughts, which shape everything you do or do not do in life.

The reason you are not living your life as you desire is because you do not believe you can. It is not because of outside circumstances or because you physically cannot. It might appear this way because we are conditioned to blame outside circumstances for our problems and look to everything but ourselves to get what we want. You need to purge these beliefs because they will do nothing but keep you paralyzed right where you are. No one can get you what you want but you.

You need to adopt beliefs that will serve you better. You need to believe you are fully responsible for your life. You need to believe that you can have whatever you want if you decide you will. You need to believe in the awesome power of deliberate intention. You need to believe that outside appearances of lack, limitation and suffering are just appearances and do not reflect the true power that is within all of us. You need to believe it is your right to be happy and that you deserve spiritual and material wealth. You need to believe you can earn money living your passions. You need to believe there is nothing wrong with wanting money and being wealthy does not make you evil.

For the most part, our beliefs did not come from us. They were ingrained by parents, neighbors, teachers, religious institutions and society in general. They are pounded into our heads for years and years and years and we were too young to question their validity. We just took it as truth and as we grew up, we adopted the same beliefs. These beliefs seep down into our subconscious mind where they exert a powerful influence over everything we do. I urge you to take the time to really think about your beliefs regarding money, happiness, prosperity and the like. I can guarantee that you will come to the realization that everything you believe has come from sources outside yourself.

Unfortunately, the most powerful beliefs are detrimental to true happiness and prosperity. Most people believe mediocrity is the norm, paying bills is the end goal of life, you need to fit in, the good life is only for a lucky few, wealthy people are bad, you can only gain by taking from someone else, you need to settle down eventually with a spouse, a couple of kids and a mortgage (nothing wrong with this if you TRULY want it), you can never get what you really want, life is hard, and the list can go on and on. You might not even realize you hold some of these beliefs but if you are not living your life as you truly desire, you must believe some of them on a level that you do not even realize. It takes courage to chuck these beliefs; it is very easy to think we are the ones that are wrong when you go against what 99 percent of people believe about the nature of human reality. This can pose a challenge and overwhelm you with doubt and fear but if you stick to it, it will all fade away as you begin to see the positive results you achieve when you discard these limiting thoughts.

The power of belief, intention and the human mind is astounding. Harnessing these powers in the direction of positivity and faith can bring you greater prosperity and happiness than you could have ever believed was possible. If you change your thoughts, you can truly change your world.
